"Overall, Empires Of Ash is a very impressive album, the best so far in the Sojourner discography, although it's early days as Sojourner are still a relatively new band. The atmosphere is majestic, and there is no shortage of beautiful melodies. Easily Mesarthim's finest effort so far - 40 minutes of star-bound metal/electronica meandering that manages to be as colourful as it is cohesive. Sucking you in and making you feel crushed and refreshed at the same time. It's a keeper.
